Psystar’s Mac Clone Offers Blu-ray and NVIDIA 9800GT Options

From MacRumors:

Despite an ongoing legal dispute with Apple, Mac clone maker Psystar announced today that they are shipping OS X-compatible PCs with Blu-ray optical drives and the NVIDIA 9800GT graphics card. Apple does not currently offer either peripheral on the Mac.

Ah, you got to love competition. It’s not much use for movies without playback software, but it does offer some nice storage options. Of course you can easily add a Blu-Ray drive to a mac pro and there are a bunch of external ones available too. It’s only a matter of time before someone writes playback software if Apple doesn’t get their act together and support the format (and I have no doubt that official support is coming sooner rather than later)
