The highly popular App, Phone Saber, which was voluntarily pulled from the App store some time ago at the request from Lucasarts has returned in a new official Star Wars version. The free app has been renamed “Lightsaber Unleashed” now starts with an advertisement for “The Force Unleashed” game and features several characters from the game, but overall remains much the same as the original, much loved version. It’s available now from the App store and is a free update to anyone with the original version.

For those not familiar with Phone Saber, the App makes use of the iPhone’s accelerometer to mimic the sounds of a Lightsaber. As you swing the phone the saber noises realistically match those of the Star Wars movies. The Application was very popular until it was removed some time ago, and will undoubtedly be another hit now that it has returned.
