About that “Apple Dropping Intel Chipset” rumor
I think this rumor has gotten a bit out of hand. I think there might be some truth to it but the idea that Apple is going to completely abandon intel chipsets just to differentiate itself from other PC makers no sense. It would screw up boot camp for a start, on of Apple’s biggest selling points at the moment.
Where I believe there could be some truth to this though is with the graphics chip. Apple could be planning to move away from the integrated graphics on the macbook and adopt a GPU from ATI or Nvidia. It would make sense given the upcoming GPU based features in snow leopard.
