There’s been much said, written and yelled about over the recent revelation that apparently there is no way to add calendar events on the iPod touch, even though otherwise the calendar application seems the same. Now, straight away people have accused Apple of using this as a cheap shot to differentiate between the iPod touch and the iPhone, but this doesn’t make any sense, because if that was the case why are they letting you add contacts? Surely if they wanted to keep the iPod an entry free device they would have limited the address book functionality too.
I suspect that this is some kind of unforeseen bug that still needs to be worked out, but I seriously doubt this will be a long term problem. The hackers will probably get around it before long anyway.
