So Many Updates….So Little Time
Wow, Apple really went all out yesterday. I don’t have time to go through everything yet, because apart from the stuff he announced at the mini keynote there were a bunch of other announcements too. Im just scribbling this down before I head to work, so I’ll add links and more details later. Anyway, in no particular order here is what came out yesterday….
- New iMacs
- Revised Mac Mini
- iLife 08
- iWork 08
- There’s an iWork 08 30 day trial available. (link)
- Two new keyboards, One wired and one Wireless – The Wireless one lacks a numeric keypad. (I don’t know either)
- Airport Extreme Base Station was revised to include Gigabit Ethernet
- .Mac upgraded with more storage (10gb) new web galleries, server side spam filtering in mail
- Aperture, Front Row receive updates (in software update now)
Other Quick Notes
- Pages now reads Word 2007 documents, which the current version of Word for OSX can not. (ouch)
- Numbers looks like a good solid spreadsheet
- iMovie 08 has been completely redesigned from the ground up – and looks awseome
- iMovie 08 also includes a direct “upload to you tube” link. Cool
- The new Keyboard finally includes USB 2.0 ports
