Apple Stores Down

The US and Canada Apple Stores are down with the usual “We’ll be right back” message. Being the usual time and day of the eek for new or updated Apple products one can conceivably expect something to pop up in an hour or so. What is interesting though is the fact that the European stores are still online. Also of note is the amount of websites reporting on this with eager anticipation. I guess all the iPhone hype has fueled interest in Apple products even further. Of course it could be nothing, but it’s more than likely a product revision of some kind. Watch this space….

[UPDATE] A good suggestion on one site is that this could simply be for the iPhone accessories, which would certainly explain why the other stores are still up, but it seems unlikely that Apple would take down the whole store for accessories. They normally only do it for core product revisions.
