Think secret are reporting on an unconfirmed rumor (as opposed to all the confirmed ones that we’re still waiting to actually happen) that the long lost mythical “fullscreen” iPod, which, thanks to the iPhone has now become the touch screen iPod, will be announced by Apple tomorrow, for release after the iPhone goes on sale.
“The information, which comes from an unproven source, suggests that Apple will show off the new iPod tomorrow but will hold off on shipping the device until later in June when the iPhone ships.”
It just goes to show you, that with Apple having a quiet year on the news front, people are desperate for stories, because there are just so many things about this that just don’t add up. For a start, a product of this magnitude always gets a full introduction by apple at either an Expo or a “special event”. There is no way that they are going to just release a brand new iPod design with just a press release.
And secondly, the timing makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Why would you announce a product that could undermine the launch of the iPhone and not ship it until after the iPhone is launched.
Im sure when this is not released tomorrow we’ll get another “scoop” about how it was delayed at the last minute.
I just wish Apple would release something soon, as the lack of new product announcements is starting to drive the natives crazy.
